Plants give us love, peace and oxygen. However amazing they may be, if we don't do our part, the environmental issues will continue and worsen. The least we can do is try to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Manufacturing

Stanley/Stella, the manufacturer of our T-shirts is a pioneer in the production of fashionable premium clothing designed for direct printing and embroidery. According to their philosophy, there is no other way to produce textile nowadays than with full respect for people and the planet. Fashionable, fresh and yet sustainable. Production is ensured in an ecological and sustainable way. This means that the manufacturer respects high-level environmental criteria along the entire textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well. The company is certified to GOTS, OE 100, OE Blended, OEKO TEX, PETA-Approved Vegan and REACH. The brand uses certified organic cotton and other natural or recycled materials exclusively.

Most of their clothing is made from 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. In addition, its production does not involve the use of chemicals (no fertilisers or pesticides) and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Moreover, it has a positive impact on the farmworkers' and customers' health. Another materials used are linen and lenzing Tencel® and Modal®, biodegradable materials made from eucalyptus or beech tree pulp. Eucalyptus is known for being a fast-growing wood that does not require irrigation. The result is silky smooth fabric. Recycled polyester and recycled cotton are used in the manufacture of the jackets and the tote bags.
The Global Recycled Standard label certifies that the materials used are recycled: in the case of polyester, from plastic bottles, and for cotton, from cutting waste. GRS also guarantees compliance with social and environmental criteria such as treatment of waste water, the absence of certain toxic additives and respect for working conditions in  partner factories.

Water is our treasure. Stanley/Stella tries to reduce its consumption of water as much as possible. Exclusive use of organic cotton creates a healthy soil that uses water more efficiently and is more resistant to dry conditions. By eliminating the use of synthetic pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers, organic cotton production keeps waterways and drinking water safe and clean.
All of the manufacturer's partner factories have invested in a biological wastewater treatment system that maximizes water recycling for further use in refrigeration, irrigation or sanitation. High-performance machines are used to reduce the water consumption in the dyeing process by more than 50%.
The manufacturer's partner factories strictly apply the International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and standards. They have a team of 19 people in Dhaka, Bangladesh, who visit and check each partner factory on a daily basis to make sure garment workers have decent salary, their rights are respected and there is no gender-based discrimination. The partner factories must also be approved by an independent body according to the strictest "Fire & Building" standards.

        Stanley/Stella Fair Wear

Stanley/Stella is a recognised member of the Fair Wear Foundation, a Dutch independent association whose members are committed to improving the working conditions in the textile industry.
Most of the Stanley/Stella products are GOTS certified. GOTS not only tracks the entire chain of production from farm to factory but also ensures compliance with the labour standards of the International Labour Organisation throughout the chain of production.

        Printing

All of our tees are printed according to GOTS certified printing standards in the only company of its kind in Czech Republic and Slovakia. GOTS or the Global Organic Textile Standard is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain including printing and requires compliance with social criteria as well. GOTS certification ensures the organic status of textiles – from harvesting of the raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing and printing all the way to labelling – in order to provide credible assurance to the customer. It is therefore clearly the best choice if one looks for quality and transparency in every aspect of the production.

        GOTS means that
        - cotton is grown ecologically. The manufacturer protects farm workers as well as the environment.
        - Textile is printed without dangerous chemicals, such as heavy metals or phalates.
        - There are no harmful residues in our tees.

Your new tee is a completely certified GOTS product. Product you can be confident is being produced with environmentally sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices.

What happens with waste after production in the screenprinting company? The waste after production is also handled with care. Damaged textile serves for test printing, scraps go to a company that uses it to produce insulating materials, sedimentation box filters out any harmful particles that don’t go in the general waste.

        Shipping

We only ship our products in recycled, fully recyclable or compostable materials. Your art prints, for example, will arrive in a recycled cardboard box and a clear sheet, which may look like plastic, but is completely compostable. It costs more but we believe it's the only right way.

We care. Thank you for caring with us.
